I was organizing my best friend's bachelorette party and came across The Laughing Pear.  Chef Dave listened to my requests and created a 6 course meal with wine pairings. The overall experience was superb. The chef was excellent in his preparation and presentation, and the meal was amazing. Each course was prepared perfectly, and the wine paring was very nice. The service was wonderful, as the server even began serving beer to one of the guests who was allergic to wine. I like to consider myself a foodie with a rich pallet, and I would recommend this Chef and dining experience to anyone. It was fabulous, and a meal that I will never forget.

It was unanimous.  From the preparation to the food itself to the discussions during clean-up, we all had a great evening!  Thanks so much for spending the time to understand our desires and to accommodate some of our younger palates.  Jeffrey and Andrew have declared your morel mushroom and goat cheese appetizer their new absolute favorite.  You run a quality business and I've already shared your name with our concierge at Merrill Lynch who helps plan vacations for other clients.

I am pleased to write this letter of recommendation for Chef David Kratky and the Laughing Pear Catering Company. On August of 2011, I hosted a private dinner party at my residence in Deer Valley, hosting the board of directors and senior executive team for my company.

Chef Kratky was such a professional presence – from the moment he was contacted to submit his proposal to each detail leading up to the dinner and after, I was impressed and would recommend him for any event, large or small. The food was outstanding and they did a great job preparing everything, serving and I’m sure my kitchen was actually cleaner when they left for the evening than it was when they arrived.

I received nothing but positive comments from my colleagues about the quality of food and service, therefore, I would not hesitate hire Chef Kratky for any future event that I or my company would host in the future.

We were referred to The Laughing Pear group, as we were planning to host a dinner for about 15 of our clients during Sundance 2011. After many years of hosting dinners at restaurants, we were excited about the idea of having a team come on-site to prepare something more customized and intimate for our group. From our first call with Chef Dave, it was clear that we were working with a true professional.

Not only was Dave able to make very specific accommodations for our group's needs in terms of quality and diversity of options, he was also incredibly consultative, using his experience to help us make better decisions about the food selections. Dave went as far as to create a custom charcuterie plate, which was all hand-made and a huge hit with our group. The staff that attended the night of the event was also terrific, making sure all of our needs were met and that every detail was attended to.

Throughout the process, Dave was thorough, easy to work with, and he handled our event with extreme care. The dinner was a tremendous success, and we will without question be including The Laughing Pear in future years of Sundance events.

Thanks Chef....I had a great time too.  I was on a total high....chopped onions and garlic today using the bear claw technique and held the knife as you showed me....I feel more comfortable even with the short time we had yesterday. As for being your best student yet....well I am not surprised.  I was listening to your every word and made sure I understood what you were trying to communicate.  You were very clear and so I think that is to your credit.  I am a good student and you are a good teacher.  I love to be in a jovial environment but I believe we can have excellence and fun.  You seem to have a similar philosophy.  Thank you!
